Here are some walking sequence bases that I'll be using in future animations for when characters are in populated areas. These are just bases but when you watch an animation of mine where the area is populated. You'll see more diversity in the people in the background.

I don't intend to copy but I would like to see it as reference. It would help me with walking animations.

Well why can't you just use what I put online as reference? Besides I'd be sending a file to someone I don't even know.

Never mind walking patterns from different angles.

So many failed tries... any quick tips?

I can see plenty of shape, FbF, and tweens all together! Thanks for putting this up!

P.S.: Do you have any other game consoles expect the Wii?

This is very good! It's a good thing for beginners (like me) to observe. The 3/4 and Side angles are near flawless in my opinion. A note of constructive criticism, though: It seems the right arm in the 3/4 is a tad long, about as long as the right arm. I'm taking an anatomy class right now, and if you're looking at someone in a 3/4 view, the arm farther from you appears smaller.

Yes that is true. However I'm too lazy to care about details that no-one's gonna notice. ^^;

Ah. I'm just a perfectionist about my own work with that kinda thing, and I have a habit of noticing little things like that in other people's work too.>_< I mean no disrespect and I see your animation as inspiration to help me start my own stuff.:)

Well the only real reason that you probably noticed it was because it was an animated sequence rather than an animated episode. With an episode, the viewer is focused on the story. In a sequence or base the viewer is focused on the animation.

Very nice. I like the hand changes between each view.

In your earlier animations, the running was a tad choppy, so I'm wondering if you've improved on that. It was like, they were running too fast for the ground shown running on.

Very good. The legs are a LITTLE bit choppy but they're good. The arms are very smooth though ^^

The 3/4 guy's left foot looks weird, it moves outside at the end of the cycle and then appears touching the floor... looks weird : P

Hmmm. Nope. It must be you. ^^; There's a difference between incorrect animation and incorrect judgment of animation. Maybe you should practice animating more. ^^

:iconlaloremes:
laloremes Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2009
No but like, the foot on the outside is all giggly, more than the rest of the legs, and it more noticeable because the rest of the animation of the character is smooth. same with the front one, the legs are kinda choppy and inconsistent...

:iconscootwhookos:
ScootWHOOKOS Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2009
Ah well the front view I can tell. And I fixed up the 3/4 view on that one. But to tell ya the truth no-one's gonna notice of even care. Especially since my animation is better than a lot of the flash cartoons I see on TV. Only people that would are the people who look for anything they can point out as a mistake. XD Anyway choppy and inconsistent is also different from incorrect animation. I can see what you're getting at but the animation still isn't incorrect.
